PSHE
Through our PSHE curriculum, we aim to equip our children with the knowledge, understanding and emotional maturity to be able to play an active and positive role in today’s diverse society. We want our children to dream big, to believe in themselves and to realise that anything is possible if they put their minds to it. In our ever–changing world, they need to have an awareness of issues they may have to face, and to be equipped with the tools and the mental fortitude to do so.
Our curriculum is designed to instill good learning behaviours so that they are able to get the most out of learning now and as they grow. They are taught that they can make a difference, that they belong to a global community and that within this community, they have responsibilities. It promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils, preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
Our Relationships and Sex Education enables our children to learn how to be safe, assertive and secure. It aims to help pupils to understand and develop healthy, respectful relationships, both now and in their future lives.
